Pegah, whose name poetically means "dawn", is a self-taught artist born and raised in the culturally rich city of Esfahan. Surrounded by the harmonious geometry and vibrant soul of the city, she found deep inspiration in the timeless beauty of Naqsh-e Jahan Square—a space where colour, architecture, and spirit converge. Her father, a miniaturist and part of the team behind the intricate entrance painting of the historic Abbasi Hotel, left behind a quiet but powerful legacy. Though Pegah never saw him paint, she often imagined him in the act—his silent presence igniting her own artistic journey. She began painting at age ten, with only one formal class at fourteen. From there, her work evolved into a deeply personal, intuitive, and spiritual practice. Much like the meaning of her name, Pegah’s art evokes the stillness and awakening of dawn—each piece a gentle unfolding of memory, identity, and inner light.
