The Methods of Artistic Anatomy
Unlock your creative potential in this eight-week immersive course that explores the methods of artistic anatomy and expression in visual art. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, illustrator, or an aspiring artist seeking to refine your understanding of the human form, this course offers a dynamic, hands-on approach to studying anatomy and developing artistic techniques for figure drawing. Through observational studies, classical and contemporary methods, and guided exercises, participants will enhance their ability to depict the human body with accuracy, movement, and expression.

Course Objectives
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand anatomical structures for artistic representation
- Develop a strong foundation in proportion, movement & gesture
- Experiment with different drawing techniques & materials
- Gain confidence in life drawing & stylized anatomical expression
Course Requirements
- No prior artistic experience is required.
- Bring a sketchbook & drawing tools (pencils, charcoal, ink, etc.)
- Some materials provided, but additional personal art supplies welcome

- Hands-on workshops and creative exercises.
- Group discussions and individual reflections.
- Guided visual, writing, and movement-based activities.
Assessment and Feedback
- Self-reflection and creative journals.

Meet Your Teacher
Nasser Palangi
Nasser Palangi is a prominent Australian-Iranian multidisciplinary artist and lecturer. His creative journey has spanned continents, cultures, and artistic mediums, encompassing painting, installation, sculpture, photography, and digital art. This diverse range of mediums is a testament to his versatility and his ability to explore complex themes such as nature, heritage, history, and identity, particularly within the contexts of the Middle East and Australia. His works also address critical global issues, including ethics, politics, social dynamics, and sustainability.

2. Cancellations
- There is no refund if you do not attend your lesson.
3. Make-Up Lessons
- If a lesson was canceled for unforeseen circumstances, a make-up lesson will be offered after the initial end date of the course.
5. Health and Safety
- Participants must disclose any medical conditions that might affect their ability to participate.
- While on our premises please take duty of care towards other participants, the artworks, and equipment.
- Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated and will cause the termination of your participation without refund.
6. Class size and Changes
- the art classes have limited capacity and will be catered to maximum 10 people. Any exceptions will be communicated in advance.
