Biography
Professor Fereshteh Pourkazemi is an award-winning artist and researcher whose work explores the connection between creativity, visual arts, and health. An intuitive artist, she began exploring, drawing, and painting as soon as she could hold a pencil. Without formal training, she absorbed inspiration from the world around her, learning from every available resource. Along the way, she was guided by Dr. Nasser Palangi who has played a pivotal role in shaping her artistic vision, helping her expand her imaginative expression through his mentorship.
Her paintings reflect what makes her heart sing and calms her soul—nature, flowers, the playfulness of light, and intimate explorations of the feminine self. She works with both watercolours and acrylics, each medium allowing her to express different aspects of emotion and movement. Watercolours evoke stillness and pause, while acrylics burst with rhythm, music, and dance. Refusing to be confined by a single medium or art form, she lets colour guide her expression, embracing fluidity and exploration in her creative process.
